Published under the auspices of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Balkan Journal of Philosophy is a peer-reviewed periodical that aims to publish high quality articles that discuss topics of current interest and make substantial contributions to the ongoing debates in all areas of philosophy. In addition, the journal strives to provide a venue for exchange of ideas and promote the development of the various philosophical traditions in the region of the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe. The exchange of ideas between different philosophical traditions is encouraged.
Current Issue + Archive
The Balkan Journal of Philosophy publishes two issues per year containing original papers in English. Each issue contains no more than ten papers. One issues is devoted to a particular topic while the other is a general issue without thematic limit. All submissions are assessed through a double-blind review process. Beginning 2025 the journal will be published on an open access basis.
